Weekend of gigs - Cork & Nenagh Part 1

Friday July 5th 2013 -
Today we started on the promotion trail for our new album "Revolutions", first up was a trip back to Cork to play in Fred Zeppelins with Cork band "This Place is Death" & Waterford band "Deadbeat Circus".

We headed off in transit with the ever reliable and hard working Cazzie crew member P Fahy, a short but eventful drive of about 1 hour 30 minutes. With the great weather we decided to take some Video footage of the streets of Cork via the camera in windscreen jobby. Next stop Richies for tae and gear collection.

Gear unloaded at Fredz in military fashion and everything set up and ready to go.
Davy was joining us travelling on route from Dublin,

After all the travelling the gig kicked off with Deadbeat Circus, the boys who are new enough to the scene rocked out Fredz with their take on Rock'n'Roll similar to the Artic Monkeys. Good stuff!!

Next up were This Place is Death, the trio are from Cork and play grungy 90's stuff ala The Smashing Pumpkins meets early Foo Fighters meets early Nirvana, they put on a hell of a show and the place was hopping at this stage.

After a few more Rebel Reds and a few more extra than normal pints for our guitarist Don Richie we kicked off our set as the closing band of the night.

We played the new album in full along with a brand new track and a version of Black Sabbaths Paranoid, the crowd seemed to enjoy it and we gave it socks........

Fredz Set list :
Warped Mind
Too Much Sleep
Wasting my Time
For the Land I fight
Surrender of the Damned
He Must Rule
Take my Hand (new)
The Chase
Paranoid

With the gig finished the gear was packed up into Fahys Van and it was  back for beers & burgers til the small hours and then a  bit of sleep (not alot) before the early rise and smashing home cooked breakfast Richie Donovan style..(more black pudding :)

Next stop onto Nenagh (nayna) to play our local The Well Bar with Brigantia & This place is Death.
Gonna be messy!!

Part 2 follows...................
