Castero @ Rock For Life July 19th 2013

Castero played the Kenyon Nenagh last Friday night July 19th 2013 with some other local acts in aid of the Irish Cancer Societys "Rock for Life".

The event was organised by the local Relay for life team led by Lisa Gleeson.
Tanya De Vito McMahon ran the music event and organised the bands right down to a tee, no delays and everything running on time :) Great job!!

On the bill was  Burn this Promise, Sounds Like Wolves,  The Cover Girls, Little Creatures, Castero & Silent Noise Parade.

The event raised €1,617.00 through doors sales and raffle sales.

Crowds turned out in their hundreds to support the great cause and it showed the nature of people in times of charity..
A great night was had by all in attendance!!

The Well Bar Nenagh with Brigantia & This Place is Death (Part 2)

Saturday July 6th 2013 -

Next Stop for us was The Well Bar, Nenagh.
Playing with us tonight was fellow Tipp band Doomlords "Brigantia" & Corks "This place is Death".
Its always a great pleasure to play in The Well, the atmosphere is always great there and the bands play on the same level as the crowd.
Tonight the place was jammed and very sweaty, lots of beers were washed down for this one by all in attendance.

First up was Brigantia and the lads are always a pleasure to play with, lots of new tunes in the offing all started by the classic Time Machine of Doom, the place was shaken to its foundations.....

Next up was ourselves and we really gave this one a kicking, one of our best shows with the new line up and it went down really well. Not so much blood, sweat and tears just loads and loads of sweat with crunching sound. We finished again tonight with an extended version of Paranoid, really enjoyable show...
Again our legend of a crew man P Fahy was on hand to load, unload and allow P.A usage ;) (nice one)
Moggie was running the desk for this and the sound was immense, good guys!! (The best).

The Well setlist :
Warped Mind
Too much sleep
Wasting my Time
Surrender of the Damned
For the land I fight
He Must Rule
The Chase
Paranoid *

Last up tonight was Cork trio "This Place is Death". The lads played a blinder of a set again tonight and they went down really well with the locals here. They are also supporting a new album release and those in attendance bought cds and also signed copies, a first for ourselves and the Cork boi's, a strange experience to be honest haha.

Nenagh and The Well crowd  in particular never fail to support bands playing here and it showed by the turnout. legends one and all........

Next up for us is Friday July 19th in The Kenyon, Nenagh
playing on a 6 band bill in aid of Relay for Life!!
A great cause which is close to our hearts....
Rock'N'Roll.  JM

Weekend of gigs - Cork & Nenagh Part 1

Friday July 5th 2013 -
Today we started on the promotion trail for our new album "Revolutions", first up was a trip back to Cork to play in Fred Zeppelins with Cork band "This Place is Death" & Waterford band "Deadbeat Circus".

We headed off in transit with the ever reliable and hard working Cazzie crew member P Fahy, a short but eventful drive of about 1 hour 30 minutes. With the great weather we decided to take some Video footage of the streets of Cork via the camera in windscreen jobby. Next stop Richies for tae and gear collection.

Gear unloaded at Fredz in military fashion and everything set up and ready to go.
Davy was joining us travelling on route from Dublin,

After all the travelling the gig kicked off with Deadbeat Circus, the boys who are new enough to the scene rocked out Fredz with their take on Rock'n'Roll similar to the Artic Monkeys. Good stuff!!

Next up were This Place is Death, the trio are from Cork and play grungy 90's stuff ala The Smashing Pumpkins meets early Foo Fighters meets early Nirvana, they put on a hell of a show and the place was hopping at this stage.

After a few more Rebel Reds and a few more extra than normal pints for our guitarist Don Richie we kicked off our set as the closing band of the night.

We played the new album in full along with a brand new track and a version of Black Sabbaths Paranoid, the crowd seemed to enjoy it and we gave it socks........

Fredz Set list :
Warped Mind
Too Much Sleep
Wasting my Time
For the Land I fight
Surrender of the Damned
He Must Rule
Take my Hand (new)
The Chase
Paranoid

With the gig finished the gear was packed up into Fahys Van and it was  back for beers & burgers til the small hours and then a  bit of sleep (not alot) before the early rise and smashing home cooked breakfast Richie Donovan style..(more black pudding :)

Next stop onto Nenagh (nayna) to play our local The Well Bar with Brigantia & This place is Death.
Gonna be messy!!

Part 2 follows...................
